Norse Ridge Farm was "born" in 1988 by the Hunderup family, who first became involved in the horse industry in 1978. The business grew from a hobby into the full service racing facility of today through the determination and vision to help our clients reach their own goals of success on the racetrack. Since the beginning, the well being of horses has always been our focus. Darlene Hunderup’s dedication to nutrition and education has guided the operation that exists today. It all started with sporting activities such as Dressage, Show Jumping, Cross-Country, Hunt Seat, Carriage Driving and Western Pleasure and since evolved into racing both American Quarter Horses and the classical Thoroughbred.  This evolution has given our business a broad foundation of knowledge with which to develop, maintain and care for every equine athlete at Norse Ridge, specializing in Racehorse Breeding and Maintenance.

Located 35 minutes from Woodbine Racetrack on almost 300 acres in King Township, Norse Ridge Farm has proven the ideal location for racehorses needing short or long term recuperative care, breaking, prepping and maintenance training. Norse Ridge’s pastures are ideal for mares and their offspring to grow and be nurtured in a safe environment. The farm offers a foaling facility, complete with 30 16’ x 16’ stalls, full-time veterinary care and experienced foaling staff. All foaling mares are monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
